Richard C. Franklin tells the stories of beautiful lives in a broken world. He is constantly looking for the heroic stories of unsung heroes and his novels, which are mostly historical fiction, focus on those extraordinary, everyday adventures of people just outside the spotlight of recorded history. Using writing which has been compared to Joseph Conrad and Edgar Rice Burroughs and drawing on his background as a professional actor and educator, Richard weaves together strong characters in stories which are both entertaining and thought provoking.
Currently, Richard is working on a series of books set in Pre-mayan Mesoamerica.
The first book, “Defector”, will be available January 2017.
More details coming soon.
Richard also published a Middle Grade novel called “Peril at Freeman Library” with illustrations by David Fisher (www.fishergraphix.com). This book is only available upon special request.
